Addicted To Web Design From The Word Go!
It's crazy how I got started in web design. I ran a small web hosting company back in the day. At first when the web hosting company opened, I didn't know jack about web design or the slightest about graphic imaging, let alone any type of coding. With that being said, I visited pre-made template selling sites on a regular basis. I visited these types of sites, because I could never really find what I was looking for in terms of finesse. Mainly because these designs were pre-made. I decided to learn web design so I could make my brand myself. Thus, alot of late hours, tons of books, tutorials and a lot of my web design literate friends being not so friendly with me, I finally learned it. I started to design the hosting company's web site from scratch. I don't think there was anything I enjoyed more than watching my creations coming to life. After about 2 months, the site was completed and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. To my amazement, my customer base felt the same way. Almost instantly, I was receiving tons of feedback on the site design. The majority of the feedback was great! However, there was some negative feedback which ultimately motivated me to work harder to achieve better results. Well, you know the saying practice makes perfect. I opened DevGuys in August of 2007 out of pure love for web design, customer service and working for myself.
